BVHA Council

BVHA Council generally meets twice a year to discuss matters of interest to the Association. Council plans the various BVHA meetings and activities and also collates views for presentation to BVA council on other matters. Council is also intimately involved in the creation and revision of the Hospital standards. Council also helps to develop and approve various marketing items to assist member Hospitals in the promotion of their services. The Council meetings also provide opportunities for "Plan Reviews" where projected veterinary developments (not necessarily of Hospital standard) are discussed and advice given.

If you would be interested in helping with the organisation of the BVHA and serving on Council, please contact the Secretariat, or President.

Having worked in mixed practice for 12 years, back problems meant giving up the clinical job and moving into management. The practice grew from four to 12-vet mixed practice, and also developed referral work for local practices. The practice has now been "rationalised" and I am now co-director of a 6-vet Small Animal Hospital and Partner in a multi-discipline Referral Practice. President of BVHA
